Your initial appointment

Here’s what you can expect during your consultation:

  • In-depth Assessment: Our surgeons will conduct a thorough examination to understand your issue and concerns.
  • Personalised Treatment Options: We’ll discuss all available treatment plans tailored to your specific situation, ensuring the best possible outcome.
  • Open Communication: This is your opportunity to ask questions and gain a clear understanding of your treatment options. We are committed to fostering an open dialogue to address any concerns you may have.
  • Anaesthesia Selection: We will work with you to determine the most suitable anaesthesia option (local, sedation, or general) for your comfort and safety during the procedure.
  • Transparent Cost Breakdown: We believe in financial transparency. You will receive a detailed cost breakdown of your treatment, allowing you to discuss potential rebates from Medicare or your private health insurance provider beforehand.

In some cases, for simpler procedures or emergencies, same-day treatment with local anaesthetic may be possible. We will discuss all options during your consultation.

To expedite your consultation and ensure we have all the necessary information, we kindly request you bring the following:

  • Referral Letter: A letter of referral from your family doctor GP, dentist or specialist in order to receive the Medicare rebate for seeing a specialist.
  • Recent X-rays (optional but helpful): Having your latest OPG (full mouth x-ray) taken within the last 12 months, or any other relevant x-rays, can be very helpful for our assessment.
  • Current Medication List: Please bring a list of all medications you are currently taking, including prescription and over-the-counter medications.
  • Medicare Card/Private Insurance details: Bring your Medicare card to ensure that we can claim Medicare rebates
  • Private Health Insurance Information (optional): Please bring your private health insurance details if you wish to claim any rebates.
  • Complete the online patient registration.
